How strong is your spiritual faith core?
Is it weak? Strong? Or somewhere in between?
Sure, it’s great to exercise our bodies, so we can have the strength and energy to get through our day. Were also helping to ward off disease and be the healthiest we can be for ourselves and for those that love us.
Shouldn’t we do that for our soul? The answer my friends is YES.
With exercise, you get stronger with all you put into it. You may start off slow and weak but over time your amazed at how strong you have become.
The same thing can happen for you spiritually, but like body exercise, it takes intentionality and a plan to show up and invest the time.
This is such a passion of mine. To see women become women of God’s Word. To know it, believe it, and live it. It’s the only way to live a life that has life in it. So if you haven’t thought of this type of exercise before, let’s talk about how you can be a woman full of strength and power ready and prepared for whatever life throws at you.
Time to exercise those faith muscles!
God’s Word is your weights. This is where you’re going to gain strength in your heart and mind. Those two areas are always under attack daily, and if your not careful they can take a beating and leave you weak with no fight left.
Open your Bible and start your spiritual exercise program. Daily, try and set aside a little time and let God strengthen your inner being. No time is wasted. You only have 5 minutes because of the season your in? God will take those 5 minutes and turn them into a holy encounter with Him and pour strength into you. Little by little, day by day, those spiritual muscles will change. You will be equipped when the unexpected happens, or just when you need that extra push to make it through the day.
Get your prayer on!
Praying is another form of spiritual exercise. It’s vital in becoming a woman who is firm and strong. It’s easy to turn to our friends or family when we need help or we just want to get all the junk out that’s inside of us. Try something different next time, when you want to send that text to someone.
Go to God instead. Pour it out to Him. You just might be surprised at receiving a peace that lasts longer than a conversation with a friend, and you might see the situation differently also. Your heart will feel more settled, and you will be able to think more clearly.
Doing these two things will ensure that you’re on your way to becoming stronger spiritually. Now I know sometimes life gets in the way and it’s easy to get off track. Here’s the good news! Just like when you exercise your body, and a few days or even longer goes by, it’s OK. You have created muscle memory! Your body remembers how to move for you because you trained it.
It’s the same way with our faith. Your spirit is eager to get back to it! The soul is ready to soak in Gods Word and go to the next level of strength. God is always waiting for you. He will take whatever time you have for Him to listen to your heart and supply what you are needing.
So if you’re feeling strong on the outside, but weak on the inside spend some time focusing on strength faith training.
Gods Word and prayer are your tools for becoming a woman whose light shines to the world. Exercise those spiritual muscles often and watch your life change into becoming a strong woman of faith.
Until next time,
