Are you a good water drinker, or not so much?
If you’re experiencing headaches and joint pain and your skin is looking dry and dehydrated, you need more water.
Let’s talk about the facts first and then look at how you can make a plan to be the healthiest and beautiful you!
Water Facts
- Over 75% of people are chronically dehydrated! We’re not off to a good start!
- Sometimes when you’re really thirsty, it’s mistaken for hunger. Forget the snack and drink a glass of water.
- Even mild dehydration will slow down your metabolism.
- Daytime fatigue is mostly caused by dehydration.
- Drinking enough water could significantly ease back and joint pain. This could be an easy fix for body aches.
- Just a 2% drop in body water can trigger brain fog and short-term memory! Ok, this is getting serious!
- Drinking 5 glasses or more of water every day decreases your chances of disease greatly. Colon cancer by over 45%, breast cancer over 70%, and a lot more.
- Your skin loves when you drink H2O. If your skin is looking dry, wrinkled, and crepy, you can change that!
Here is where to start!
- Know your ounces. Whatever your body weight is, divine that in half. That’s how many ounces you need for YOU. Don’t get overwhelmed though by a number. Just start increasing your intake daily. It’s always about starting.
- Flavor your water. Add lemons, limes, strawberries, cucumber, mint, etc. to a pitcher and drink that throughout the day. You are also getting all the nutrients from all that gorgeous fruit!
- Keep water near you at home. If you see it, you’re more likely to drink it.
- Use an app. There are a lot of apps for your phone for daily accountability to help you meet your goals. Give one a try and see if it helps. Putting it on a to-do list works also!
- Your meals. Drink only water with what your eating.
- Tea. It counts towards your goals so become a tea drinker. Especially green tea. You are getting amazing benefits to keep your body and skin healthy.
Sometimes the simplest things are overlooked. Start feeling better, and have your skin become vibrant and glowing again. It starts with a glass and the most refreshing drink in the world. WATER.
