Reflexology is amazing! Not only for overall health but it’s also anti-aging!
When I lived in China, I trained to become a reflexologist, and I have been practicing it ever since.
Daily you can find me giving myself a reflexology treatment on my feet, and especially at bedtime!
Reflexology for the face though is another way to reap health benefits and target aging at the same time!
Also known as “Dien Cham” this technique has been around for a long time but is getting popular again because it’s a great non-invasive way to get amazing results on your face and bring health to your body.
I have incorporated facial reflexology into my skincare routine, and I am loving it! It’s relaxing, quick, and gives results you can see, and feel.
How does it work?
The same reflex points that are on the feet are on the face. When your strengthening and releasing tension in your organs through reflexology, it’s going to have a direct effect on how your skin looks.
Ok, where do you start?
First, you need a tool. Wellness bloggers online sell facial reflexology tools, but they also give examples of what you can use instead. I bought an acupuncture tool from amazon and its great for this type of treatment. It has a little ball on the end, and that helps to target those reflex points. You can also use the round end of a ballpoint pen, a crochet hook, a stone with a rounded end, or any kind of little probe that will let you make the movements easily on your face. Look around your house! You probably have something that will work so you can get started today!
Let’s begin!
It’s best to do this in front of a mirror to start, so you can see the points to stimulate on your face. You’re going to press the instrument on specific points and do little circles or a little sweeping motion. Don’t press hard. The skin should move, but it shouldn’t hurt. Do about 12-15 movements on all the points.
Don’t be surprised if you have some tender spots! Work that point a little longer to bring balance back to that area, then move on to the next point.
5-minute relaxation treatment you can do anytime
- Point 124. Gall bladder and bile duct are on the right side, the spleen is on the left side. Located above the eyebrows, up towards the middle of the forehead, and move the probe over to the outer edge of the forehead. Do small circles on both sides and feel the tension release.
- Point 34. Feet, sinuses, eyes, heart, optical nerve. Located on top of the inner eyebrows. Do small circles on each side. This can be a tender spot, so it may need a little extra attention.
- Point 26. Throat, sinus, pituitary gland, parasympathetic nerve, pineal gland. Located centrally between the brows. Small circles. This is a deep relaxation point and you may feel the benefits right away.
- Point 0. Located in front of the ears. Always end with this point after a session with an up and down motion in front of the ears. It balances and regulates the whole body from the treatment.
