Are you noticing increased aging in your skin?
Have you stopped seeing results from your current skincare regimen?
I’ve been there! When I no longer see a glow, and my skin looks tired, I know it’s time to boost my nightly routine.
Is it possible to change the way your skin looks and feels in a short amount of time? Yes!
There are great products that make your skin feel wonderful, but I think you have to power it up with tools to get more optimal results with aging skin.
I’ve come up with a nightly skincare protocol that I love, and I’m seeing a difference in areas that need extra attention.
If you’re ready to have glowing skin, reduced pigmentation, and more firmness in your facial muscles, these tools can help you achieve those results!
Let’s get started!
Basics First
- Make sure you are cleansing twice a day every day. Do a double cleanse at night to remove all make-up, oils, and other yuck from your skin. You can also use a gentle daily exfoliating cleanser to target cell turnover.
- No going to bed with make-up on! Every night you leave make-up on your skin, your skin will be affected for seven days. That means increased skin issues such as clogs, breakouts, etc. No, thank you!
- Exfoliate. A couple of times a week, exfoliate your skin. This encourages skin cell turnover to increase quicker, which is what you want. With aging skin, exfoliation is vital to get your glow back. Plus, it helps your products to work better. Don’t waste your product on dead skin cells!
Nightly Regimen For Aging Skin
These tool recommendations are great for targeting your skincare concerns from all angles. They are quick and will only take you five to ten minutes or less. This is a more intense regimen to kick-start anti-aging.
You can start with a few recommended tools or stay with what you are comfortable with and build from there. Results will be seen quickly because your skin, collagen, and facial muscles will love all the increased stimulation. For example, you may like how guasha feels, so doing that 3 or 4 times would be perfect for you. Make this routine your own.
Time To Target Aging With Powerful tools
Monday – Facial Reflexology. Get an acupressure tool (kind of looks like a ballpoint pen – check Amazon) and stimulate reflexology points on your face. Rotate the tool in small circles 10-12 times to wake up those points that correspond to your body. You will be amazed at how relaxed you feel and how much better your skin looks. With this one, I like to do it in the morning, but nighttime works. A great way to start your week!
Tuesday – Microcurrent. The Nuface tool is a good one. It will tone your facial muscles with a low level of current to firm and tighten the facial muscles. There are five levels of current. Start at the lowest setting when you’re just starting to use this tool. Before using, apply a gel-like product first to the areas you are targeting. Gradually you will build up to a higher setting for more increased firmness. This is like exercise for your face!
Wednesday – Guasha. It’s amazing and feels fantastic. Lifts, tones, and brings a healthy glow to your skin. This is one of my favorite tools.
Thursday – Peel, and Mask. Resurface your skin with a peeling product to correct discoloration, target lines, and wrinkles. No peel? No worries! Just do a nice soothing mask and let your skin rest tonight!
Isn’t this fun?! Let’s continue. The week is almost over!
Friday – Microcurrent. Firm up time again. You could also swap out and do Guasha if you prefer at this time, or even doing some Face Yoga would be great.
Saturday – Dermaroller. Use the roller on all sections of the face. Vertically, horizontally, and diagonally. The collagen layers of your skin will be stimulated on a deeper level, resulting in renewed firmness. Skin will feel more sensitive after this, so use a hydrating and gentle moisturizer afterward, or mask again.
Sunday – LED Light. There are handheld Led tools such as Solawave or Skin Buddy and there is even a LED mask where you lay down and relax with the mask on your face, and it will do its magic! The different colored wavelengths of light will target every concern on your skin. You will love it! Amazon has some decent handheld LED devices and masks. Definitely worth checking out!
And the weeks done with powered-up skincare! Five minutes a night and you are on your way to seeing some incredible results!
You can change things up with your skincare in different seasons according to what your skin is looking like. Make your skincare routine fit for you and your lifestyle.
Take your skin to a new level by using tools. Maybe one, or multiple ones, and get ready to start loving your skin again!
Until next time,
