Turmeric is so powerful for your health!
So many studies have been done proving that this spice has some amazing health benefits.
I have been taking this in a tablet form daily, and I can honestly say, it delivers results I can feel in my body.
I also put the turmeric spice in a smoothie or a protein shake and you can’t even taste it. Another way to ramp up your health. Easy!
There are many powerful benefits for turmeric, but let’s talk about an area that we have all dealt with in some form or another. Pain.
Benefits of turmeric for pain.
Powerful anti-inflammatory. Inflammation is a precursor to most diseases. It’s something we always need to be reducing anyway we can. Turmeric can really help with reducing inflammation in your body and getting you on a healthier path of health.
Pain reliever. Turmeric has been shown to be more effective than aspirin or ibuprofen and without the possible side effects. I take it after I exercise and it really helps with my muscles to not be sore the next day from my work out.
Joint pain. As you get older it seems like little aches and pains can start to show up in your life. Taking turmeric really helps to relieve those twinges. Your body just feels better afterward and you’re joints are not so tender and painful. It has been shown that turmeric can work as a painkiller and really support pain management also. If ongoing pain is something you are struggling with, this may be a safer alternative to give a try. You might be surprised at the level of relief you can get from turmeric.
If you’re having pain associated with autoimmune issues like arthritis, adding turmeric daily may really help.
What type of turmeric should you look for?
Organic is always best. In a tablet or capsule form and in the powdered spice. A high-quality turmeric supplement will also have black pepper in it, which helps with absorption.
Turmeric tea is really popular right now also! Trader Joes has a Ginger turmeric tea that is so good. Plus it’s organic and reasonably priced. Add a little honey and you have yourself a cup of yummy tea to support your health.
How much should you take?
Follow the manufacturer’s guidelines. Some are one daily, and some are more. I have one that says I can take 3 a day. I have done that on occasion, but one daily seems to work well right now. Your body will let you know.
Any side effects?
It can impair iron absorption, so something to be aware of. Don’t take if you’re pregnant. If you have diabetes and take medication to lower your blood sugar, consult your doctor first.
Hope this helps you to give turmeric a try. It could be an answer for any pain or joint issues you have or just something to add for more optimal health.
Would love to hear of your experience with this amazing spice if you have taken it! It could also help to encourage someone who is dealing with pain issues.
Until next time,
