Water
God’s Word – Its Life
Just as water is life to the physical body, God’s word is life to your soul. You will never live out the life you were meant to have if you neglect to hear from the Lord through His word.
Sure your life has good things, good times, and overall you think you are happy.
It’s nothing to what awaits you once you make a daily habit of spending some quiet time with just you and your Creator. Those places in your soul that are dry and parched can be drenched with newness, life, and hope. Something new can begin to rise up in your spirit. God can rekindle what was left for dead because His word brings your soul back to life. Those places of hurt, unforgiveness, and regret can be touched by the balm of God’s word spoken just for you.
He knows you so well. He made you and loves you so much that He wants to spend time with you so you can know Him better. For those who have a daily quiet time and have been walking with the Lord a long time, even decades, let’s go deeper in His word and with Him. Let’s trust to a new level.
Let His word challenge you, convict you, grow you, and stretch you. Don’t miss out on all He wants for you and what he wants to do through you.
Will you meet with Him and let His word change you? Today would be a good day to start. He’s waiting…. waiting to change your life.
(John 4:14) But whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.
Intentional :
- If this is new for you, purchase a Bible or a devotional and start with 5 minutes of reading. The Psalms or John from the New Testament is a good place to start.
- Have a quiet place to be alone so you can hear from Gods word
- Write words or phrases down that speak to your heart and think about them during the day
- Be expectant! Lean in and hear what He wants to say to you.
God Promises:
- More peace, more hope, more contentment
- Renewed or new passions. You’re excited about the new possibilities.
- Better relationships because you’re changing. Its no longer wishing the other person would change so you can be happy. You have more inner calm and peace now.
- Heart transformation. Caring more about what God cares about
- Increased desire to spend time with Him because you want to be in His presence
Let’s pray….Lord thank you for your word which is life. Life to my soul. I never want to neglect your word or take it for granted. I trust that you are doing a work in me no matter what age I am. You still have plans for me. Things you have tailor-made for me to do for your kingdom. I will trust you to equip me, even when I think it’s impossible. Thank you for loving me the way you do. Increase my desire for you and your word every day. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen
Until Next time
