Bamboo tapping or “Pai Sha” is a powerful ancient Chinese technique for overall health and well-being.
It’s simple, quick, and can really help to strengthen your immune system and increase your overall total wellness.
Ok sounds good, but what is it really?
The bamboo tapper is a tightly bound bundle of thin rods that I think looks like a little broom.
You use it in a tapping motion all over the body to clear stagnation and encourage lymph drainage.
Tapping the body this way can release stress and tension and can also help to relieve pain.
When should you do bamboo tapping?
Morning. If you do it in the morning, use the tapper more briskly and firmly to wake up the skin. It will invigorate you and give you energy for the day.
Evening. Doing bamboo tapping in the evening you will use lighter slower tapping. It will help to relieve stress and help you to unwind so you can sleep better.
Where should you start tapping?
You can start on the chest and do little tapping circles to start. Then tap down the top of arms to hands. Then turn your arms over and do the same.
Do tapping circles around the stomach to help with digestion.
Next, go down the sides of the leg, and then up the inside of the leg. Do one leg at a time.
Tap the low back and upper back, and finish by tapping the back of the head. You’re done.
You can do it in this order. or whatever feels good for you. Just make sure you are doing the technique on the whole body.
Drink water after you do your bamboo tapping to help flush the body of toxins.
How long does it take?
1 to 5 minutes, that’s it! It’s so quick, feels so good, and can help you to be healthier, and calmer in less than 5 minutes.
Can you do this daily?
Yes! That would be ideal, but anytime you get it in is going to be so beneficial for your overall wellness.
All you need is the bamboo tapper. You can find them on Amazon and other websites like Hayo’u which also shows you the technique.
If you are on a health journey and want to strengthen your immune system and reduce stress, this might be perfect for you. I hope you give it a try and have amazing results!
Until next time,
