Smoothie Power

Want to take your health to the next level? Need to make one change that is easy and doable? Get in the habit of a daily smoothie.

Not a smoothie filled with loads of calories and crazy amounts of sugar, but a smoothie that elevates your health,  fights aging and gives you tons of energy for your day.

Fruits and veggies blended together not only taste amazing but are so beneficial for your heart. They are gut friendly because of the fiber. They also will give you tons of energy and will bring the glow back to your skin.  Now that’s a great way to start the day!!

If you are watching your blood sugar, smoothies are great because the fiber ensures a slow and more steady absorption of the sugars into your bloodstream.

Another bonus is smoothies make you feel fuller longer because of the protein, healthy fats and carbs that create sustainable energy.  Making your smoothies with powerful fruits and veggies,  and powerful add-ins are a great way to start the day and jumpstart your health.

No more throwing away fruits or greens that are going soft or are just about ready to expire.  Freeze them for smoothies!   Greens, fruits, and avocado freeze great. ( I cut the banana and avocado into smaller chunks so they’re easier to blend ) Fresh or frozen fruit and greens both work great.  I take out the frozen fruits the night before and put in the fridge for the morning.  Then I add the fresh greens and add-ins to my smoothie.

Make smoothies a daily habit and experience ;

  • Glowing and younger looking skin
  • Renewed energy
  • More regular in your bowel movements
  • Stable moods
  • Health and vitality that you can feel

To get you started here’s a recipe that I hope you love and becomes a regular part of your smoothie habit!

( Makes 2-10 oz servings )

  • Frozen banana – 1/3 cup
  • Kale – 1 cup ( leaves are torn, and packed in a cup )
  • Mango – 3/4 cup
  • Pineapple – 3/4 cup
  • Blackberries – 3/4 cup
  • Avocado – 1/4 cup
  • Ground flaxseed – 1TBL
  • Walnuts – 1/3 cup
  • Ground turmeric – 1/4 tea
  • Coconut water – 10oz
  • 1 TBL Collagen powder ( opt )

Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until desired consistency.

Enjoy your healthy, energetic day!! Within a few days watch the glow come back to your skin!
