Sometimes you get to a certain age and we just lose our hope. You feel like throwing up our hands and saying not too loudly to the world, but shouting to yourself, that your too old to accomplish all those dreams, all those ” maybe someday. ”
Your mind tells you that this is just the way your life is. You feel stuck and so you settle for a life that feels defeated, and empty. All the while feeling a sense of urgency that you are supposed to be doing something else.
Today that way of thinking is about to change. God has this promise for you in His Word;
Isaiah 43:18-19
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past; See I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up, do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert, and streams in the wasteland.”
This promise does something to my heart!! It stirs up excitement and hope!
Let those words sink deep down into your soul. Let it break up the unplowed ground of your heart. (Hosea 10:12 ) Something new is coming!
A new thing. No more thinking that something new and exciting is for that other person, and not for you. That it seems utterly impossible to see yourself taking back the ground in your life and being changed and used for something that you can’t even imagine. Those dry desert places in your life, can be filled with vibrancy, newness, growth and bear a harvest of fruit.
I love how God wants us to get this!! When He says “See I am doing a new thing! He is saying “I’m working right now in your life even if you don’t feel it, you don’t see it, you don’t think it. Stop for a moment and SEE!!
A new level of health, a new way of thinking, a new way of believing. More hope. TRUST ME says the Lord. Lets open our eyes and our hearts and take God at His word. Those dreams you have that you wouldn’t share with anyone because your too afraid someone might put the fire out on them…..God knows about them, because he put them in your heart, so hang on, because God is going to nurture those passions and dreams back to life.
He has a purpose for you, and He will accomplish it. Don’t miss out on what God wants to do through you.
